Set cones in a 9 point grid, max 5m apart. Players form even numbers at all stations apart from center (C) which has 1 player.
(A) starts by handballing to (B), (B) handballs to (C) in the centre.
All players move to the station they handball to, so (B) becomes the new centre
(C) handballs to (D), (D) to (E), (E) back to the centre (C)
As mentioned, players move to the station they handball to
(B) will have replaced (C) in the centre and will therefore receive from (E)
The drill continues in this fashion around the square
After a while, add a new ball. The difference with a second ball is there will be 2 players moving into the center. Players moving into the centre now receive the OTHER ball, so must look for where that ball is located.
If a player has not reached the center to receive, the player should delay handballing until the player arrives.
Players must concentrate and be aware of the change of pattern with 2 balls
