  • This works best with a brick wall or similar the ball can rebound off. Each player has a ball, or if not enough balls then pair-up, share a ball and take turns.
  • Standing 1m from the wall, players use a chest pass to throw into the wall, then a two-handed catch to take the rebound
The ball should always return to the thrower's hands at the same height
Start at moderate intensity, then gradually increase the speed of the throws until they're at maximum pace
  • After 20 seconds, move back to 2m. Perform each of these for 20 seconds:-
    Shoulder pass
Catch with two hands at the same height as the release
  • Move back to 3m. Shoulder passes for 20 sec; Overhead passes for 20 sec.
  • Advanced level progression: Throw passes slightly off trajectory so you need to jump to catch, or reel in with a one-handed catch
