  • Groups of 3, each with a ball (extras make groups of 4). The number of groups will determine the size of the playing area (2 groups: 5x5m, 3 groups 6x6m, etc). Players are assigned a sequential number within their group (e,g. players in trio are numbered '1, 2 & 3').
  • On 'go!' players must pass the ball around their group in numerical order.
    (1 passes to 2), (2 to 3), (3 to 1).
Players must remain within the square
Players must find space and be aware of other bodies on the court
  • After a random duration of 15-60 seconds, shout 'reverse!'. The count now goes the other way; players pass to the previous number sequentially
    Now (1 passes to 3), (2 to 1), (3 to 2)
Receivers assist the passer by dodging into space and calling loudly - there will be lots of noise
  • Continue to 'reverse!' at random intervals to keep players on their toes.
  • Progression for experienced teams: Introduce a defender who roams around the square attempting to intercept all groups
    Defender should be clearly identifiable
