Good fingertip control and judgement of passing weight is required, as players pass while moving away from the recipient.

Diagram and Steps
(A) starts on the baseline with the ball, (B) the player who will run backwards stands facing them approximately 1m into the court.
(A) and (B) exchange quick
chest passes,
with (A) running forwards and (B) running backwards.
(B) needs to throw harder than normal to compensate for their backwards momentum
Players cannot 'step' so must pass quickly upon receiving
Pairs retain the same distance apart (1m) as they run
When the opposite baseline is reached, reverse directions so both players have a turn running backwards.
Progress by throwing a lobb pass
