  • Groups of 3 each have a ball and require a 15 x 3m lane. Players stand 3-4m apart to begin, all facing towards (A)'s baseline.
  • (A) throws high to themself, jumps, catches and lands so they can pass to (B).
  • (A) throws a lob pass over (B)'s head which (B) catches and lands effectively to continue progress to (C)
  • (B) finishes with a lob over (C)'s head, which they leap to catch.
    (C) lands knowing they'll be changing direction for their next pass.
  • (A & B) take a few steps towards (C). Repeat back the other way, with (C) lobbing to (B), then (B) to (A).
  • The footwork/body motion of (B) will be slightly different to (A & C), so rotate players after 30 seconds so everyone has a turn in the middle.
  • For more experienced teams, extend the passes to 6-7m by spacing players over 2/3 of the court
Passing will be more difficult to land in the perfect spot, so catching player should hold space and leap to catch, not wait under the ball.
