Purpose and Skills
Purpose
Sometimes a player in possession can orchestrate the play instead of waiting for someone to call. This involves calling the intended recipient of the pass, then progresses to using deceptive passing techniques.

Diagram and Steps
Setup a pentagon with distance between cones about 5m max.
(A) starts with the ball and elects who they will pass to by calling their name before passing to them, e.g. (E) in the diagram
Similarly, (E) calls a random player's name before passing to them
For the first minute or thereabouts, players should look at the player they are passing to
Progression 1: Perform a
fake pass
by aborting the throw to the first-called player mid-throw, then calling a 2nd player to pass to.
Quick hands and decisive voice is required
Progression 2: Perform a
look-away pass
by looking elsewhere rather than towards the intended recipient
Requires concentration by passive players to listen for their name, as the passer won't be looking at them
