Start with groups of 6 or 7 (max) if possible. Each group has a line marked with 1 cone for every player, spread evenly down the court. Form 2 lines if necessary.
(A) starts with an away-facing catch and turn. (B) performs a straight lead and receives (A)'s pass
Players jump to catch and land sideways, with outer footer same foot as their throwing arm (e.g. RIGHT foot for RIGHT handers)
(B) repeats (A)'s "lead-catch-change direction" movement, before passing to (C)
Continue in this fashion the length of the court until the final player receives. They turn towards the vacant baseline and throw a high lob - landing at least 2m away - which they leap to catch.
This player uses same footwork when catching their own pass.
Repeat back up-court in the same fashion.
Progression 1: If you have 10 or more players, you can turn this into a fun race - first to complete a number of laps wins.
Progression 2: The less people per line, the longer the passes will need to be. Reduce numbers per line to practice longer shoulder passes.
