  • Create a triangle with cones approximately 3m apart for adults. Each group starts with 4 attackers vs 1 defender. Create 2 groups if 10+ to reduce inactivity.
  • Give the ball to an attacker on a cone. The players on the cones work the ball between one another, aiming to feed a pass into (A) in the centre.
    (A) cannot move from their spot, only pivot to face the ball carrier.
  • Defender (B) must use fast feet to skip around stationary (A) and assume a forward defensive stance
Standing between (A) and the player with the ball eliminates the simple pass
  • When an opportunity arises, a player on the outer passes to (A) while (B) attempts to intercept
Only allow flat passes to (A); lob passes are disallowed
If (A) catches, pass to any outside player, then continue.
  • (B) spends about 30 seconds defending. Stop, sub-on reserves and rotate so everyone has a turn as defender
  • Optionally progress by bringing the cones closer (2m apart) to increase difficulty for passing team.
