  • Groups of 3 each have a ball and require 5m of length, starting 3m in from the sideline. Trio choose a defender (C), and two attackers - feeder (A), and faux receiver (B) who is simply a presence on the court.
  • (A) throws a lob pass which is intended for (B), but falls a little short. This allows (C) to bravely jump backwards to intercept.
    (A) must pass somewhere in between (B & C) - but not too close to (B) to avoid collisions
    (C) must be brave, run to the drop zone, then jump and twist their body mid-air to face (A)
Eyes never leave the ball and execute a two-handed catch
  • (C) passes back to (A), then sprints and touches the sideline
#with foot (easy) or hand (hard)
  • (C) sprints back to leap and intercept the second lob pass (A) attempts to (B), this time jumping in from the side.
    (A) should make their pass challenging but not impossible for (C) to intercept.
    (B) doesn't move from their spot
  • The ball is passed back to (A), pause briefly for (C) to resume central position for the overhead lob, and repeat.
  • Repeat for 45-60 seconds and rotate roles.
