Divide the centre third into 3 zones (two wings, and the centre). Choose a primary attacker (A) who is the worker, 3 other attackers (B-C-D) pair-up with 3 defenders. Competing pairs are constrained to one zone (1/9 of the court).
(A) must get the ball from one sideline to the other by using teammates players (B-C-D)
(B) must present a number of leads for (A)
(B & E) must remain in zone (1)
(E) closely marks (B) and attempts to intercept
(B) can be used multiple times, or just once to facilitate (A)'s progress through the zone
Once through zone (1), (A) must get through zone (2) in similar fashion
Active players in this zone are teammate (C) and defender (F)
The final zone requires a pass from (D) to (A) on the sideline
Optionally, require (A) to continue, working back the other way to return to the starting sideline again
This takes longer so will depend on numbers at training
Rotate (A) and also change attackers and defenders; restart.
To add a competitive element, record the time it took to cross; others attempt to beat best time.
